Prof. Banda has consulted widely and conducted research assignments for international organizations, Governments, regional organizations such as SADC, COMESA, UNECA, Governments and International Cooperating partners such as World Bank, European Union, CIDA , CFTC, USAID, SIDA, ILO and the private sector in Africa. Prof. Banda is a multi-skilled Management Consultant with experience in areas of Value Chain Analysis, Transport Economics , Public Management, Trade Negotiations and Gender and Development Planning. He previously worked for the Government of the Republic of Zambia- Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) before joining ESAMI in 1987.
Prof. Banda has over 30 years work experience covering Western, Central, Eastern and Southern Africa, Asia and Europe. His areas of expertise lie in Value Chain Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Negotiation Skills, Public Service Reforms, Gender and Development, and Institutional Development.
